Filming

The character of the California Riviera is quiet and unlike any other area in Los Angeles, and many of our homes are attractive to production companies for location filming.  While this may be flattering, and perhaps even financially rewarding to the owners of the homes selected, the hustle and bustle of location “shooting” is most often only an intrusion upon your neighbors.

The Board of Directors of the California Riviera Home Owners Association has established regulations and fees for filming on location in the California Riviera area.  The regulations are reasonable and should help to minimize disruption to neighbors.  The fee ($1000/1st day and $750 each day there after including prep & wrap days) is in line with other associations and will help defray the expenses involved in enforcing our CC&Rs.

To be effective, we need the cooperation of every resident in bringing the regulations and CRHOA permit requirements to the production company’s attention.

IF YOU ARE APPROACHED TO USE YOUR HOME FOR FILMING:

1. Please tell the production company representative to immediately contact our Association office for a copy of our regulations and to make arrangements for payment of a fee as well as to obtain a permit.  The office number is 310/454-5245.  Kim Bantle, our Administrative Assistant, will coordinate the details.

2. Contact the Association office yourself.

The Board of Directors asks for your cooperation in this matter.  We will work at maintaining a good rapport with the Film Permit Office of the City of Los Angeles, but the Permit Office issues hundreds of permits and will not always enforce our regulations for us.

Yours truly,

THE CALIFORNIA RIVIERA HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
